I'm a member of Bolton Public Library's do I need to join?
Yes. Although we are based within Bolton Central Library and work in close partnership with them, we are a seperate library with a seperate catalouge.
I'm a member of the Royal Bolton Hospital Library do I need to join?
No. Both ourselves and the hospital library share a joint catalouge under the 'Bolton Health Library Service' banner. This means that once you join either library, you can use both library services.
Membership Critera/Who can join?
Anybody who is over 18 and either lives works or studies in the Bolton area can join. All NHS staff can join as well.
How Can I Join?
All you need to do is either A) if you work for the NHS or Bolton Council bring your work I.D. badge or B) if you don't bring an offical document with your home address on i.e. bank bill/statement, driving licence etc.
I do not meet the critera, can I still use the services?
Yes. If for any reason you do not meet the critera, you can still use our services as a reference library.
Where can I return my books/can I return my books at my local public library?
Any books borrowed from us here at the NHS Bolton Library can be returned either here or at the Royal Bolton Hospital Library. If you return your book to your local public library, we will not recieve here and you will still be liable to fines and ultimately the cost of the books.
What does PCT Stand for?
PCT Stands for Primary Care Trust.
